The founding Trashonista, Anisa Topan got herself a degree in the workings of fashion from Central St Martins in Fashion Communication with Promotion back in 2004. Her lengthy stint in the PR world has seen her work with brands from Channel 4 to Coco de Mer.
Aside from talking, Anisa's strengths include relationship building, infectious enthusiasm, creativity, hard work and a passion for delivering results. She gets a real buzz out of telling clients about their results and has been found shouting with excitement on the phone to them when this happens.
Anisa is also passionate about helping British manufacturing. When she heard about a British fashion factory's plight she wanted to do something to help. So she and a friend created the SHUT TUP bag to raise awareness and to try and stop British fashion factories from shutting up shop, starting with Michael's factory in Walthamstow. (before Mary Portas in case you were wondering!) So you're welcome to buy a bag to show your solidarity! We're still selling the bags and watch this space for future fashion fighting projects.
